The migration consultant is the person you're hiring to move your data. This can be a Universal Migrator Certified Consultant, your own tech guy, or yourself if you meet the requirements.

Your Consultant Configures a Migration Workstation
The migration workstation is the computer moving your data. It can be in your office, with your migration specialist, in the Cloud, or anywhere else you want.

Your Consultant Creates an Initial Backup
Using Universal Migrator, your Migration Consultant will create an initial backup of your data. This initial backup will be in a migration-ready format.

Your Consultant Tweaks the Default Mappings
Your migration consultant will review the default mappings from Universal Migrator and implement any tweaks you might want — remapping fields, excluding data, folderizing documents differently, or any kind of data cleanup.

Final Backup & Restore
As the final step, your migration consultant will take the final backup of your data and restore it into your new system — cleanly and completely.
